JULY 2018

Hi, my name is Travis. I am eleven and a half years old.
I currently hold a blue belt. I obtained my blue belt on June 6, 2018.
This is my Taekwondo Story.

When did you start Fair Lawn Taekwondo?

"I started Fair Lawn Taekwondo when I was ten and a half years old."

Did you have prior Taekwondo experience?

"I had five years of prior Taekwondo experience from the
Summer Camp I had attended."

What led you to start your journey with Taekwondo?

“I had just moved to Fair Lawn and my neighbor, Vassili, was
walking to Taekwondo for his class. He invited me to go and watch. Master Yoon let me try it and I was hooked. Everyone was very nice
and Master Yoon was so awesome I had to join and I did. I have loved
it ever since."

What have you gained from taking Taekwondo?

“I have gained valuable skills that I can use for life. Taekwondo
teaches me to focus, concentrate, (in school). It also helps me with
self confidence and self control.”

What do you like most about Taekwondo?

“For starters, Master Yoon is an awesome teacher. He is
always there for me when I need help. I love learning all the different techniques because Master Yoon makes it fun. I also like that we get
to do different activities before and after class."

How do you see Taekwondo playing
an integral part in your life as you grow older?

“It will help me when I get older because Taekwondo is
teaching me the skills I need to be confident with everything I do.”

What would you like to be when you grow up?

“I would like to be in the military, saving people's lives and
be a Grand Master in Taekwondo.”

What advice would you give younger Taekwondo
studentsor lower belt rank students?

“The most important thing to remember is to never give up.
You will achieve the goals you set for yourself. Also, do not be afraid
to ask Master Yoon for help. He is always there and willing to help you. Master Yoon has made a big impact in my life andI know he can
make one in yours.”
